David L. Gardner, Ed.D. has more than 40 years of financial management and accounting experience. He holds a Doctorate in Executive Leadership from St. John Fisher University in Rochester, NY; the Master of Business Administration and Master of Public Administration degrees from Syracuse University; and the Bachelor of Business Administration degree from St. Bonaventure University, as well as Executive Certificates in Public Policy and Leadership from the Harvard Kennedy School. He holds professional certifications in private and public sector financial management, accounting, auditing, and fraud examination; and is a member of the American College of Health Care Executives (ACHE). Dr. Gardner served as a Federal Air Marshal following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and served multiple combat tours in Iraq with the 82nd Airborne Division and the US Army Special Operations Command. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and retired from the Army in 2013.
